Mary Jane (MJ) Friedrich and her husband Dave moved to Lake Forest from New Jersey in 2014. They have one son who will be entering Lake Forest High School in 2019. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. For the last 20 years, she has worked as a freelance science and medical writer and editor, writing for the medical news section of JAMA. MJ is originally from New Jersey and Dave hails from Rogers Park. They are particularly fond of the many forest preserves here on the Third Coast, where they enjoy walking their dog, Friday. MJ is excited to be able to contribute to the wonderful spirit of community here in Lake Forest.
Diane Gregg has lived in Lake Forest for 25 years. She grew up in Wilmette and attended New Trier East High School. She graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a degree in Business and Speech Communications. Diane and her husband, Will, have 3 grown children. She has enjoyed many volunteer activities over the years including Everett Elementary APT, Spirit of 67 Foundation, and Lake Forest High School Foundation.
She feels very lucky to live in our beautiful city and is excited to give back to the community.
Pete Jansons recently moved to Lake Forest to be closer to his wife Maureen’s family. Pete sees the Lake Forest community as welcoming, close-knit, and one that looks after its own. Pete would like to repay the goodwill he has received in Lake Forest by becoming a member of the Caucus Committee.
Pete is currently the owner of NeuroNoodle Neurofeedback, which helps people by using Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback services. Pete spent 20 years with CareerBuilder. He was on the NIU Sales Curriculum Board, plus the SIU Chicagoland alumni board. Pete received his BS at Southern Illinois University in Health Care Management and received his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Monica Kreymer an Oklahoma transplant that has moved to Lake Forest to join her husband, who
is a lifelong Lake Forest resident. Monica is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center.
Monica works in the public sector as a prosecutor, focusing on consumer fraud. While in law school,
Monica also had the opportunity to work as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on
Regulatory Affairs and Federal Management and the U.S. Senate Committee on the Environment
and Public Works.
Monica is conversationally fluent in Arabic, enjoys eating at the Lantern, running, cycling, kayaking
and spending time with her cats. During football season, she especially enjoys cheering on the
football team of her alma mater, the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
While I am a recent Lake Forest resident, I have come to love this community and my neighbors
and look forward to giving back in any way I can.
Rob Low grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. In 2001, Rob, his wife and two children moved to Lake Forest. A Graduate of Southern Illinois University, Rob holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management and is currently employed by United Air Lines. Rob says “It is a great honor to serve Lake Forest as a member of the Lake Forest Caucus Committee”.
Dr. Pamela Morrison has been living in Lake Forest for 27 years and has a private physical therapy practice. She has raised two children in Lake Forest who graduated Lake Forest High School. She is a member of the Lake Forest Recreation Center, the Lake Forest Health and Fitness, Dickinson Hall, and the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Morrison earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Science degree from Northwestern University, and a Doctor of Health Science from Midwestern University. She is excited about the caucus process, eager to learn, and willing to share her knowledge in assisting Lake Forest residents participate in city life.
I have lived and worked in Lake Forest for the past 20 years and love being a part of this vibrant community. My husband and I enjoy all Lake Forest has to offer, from the special events in and around town, the wonderful community facilities, and delightful people, to the location – we have a great beach, amazing green space, and are close to the city, so it’s the best of all worlds! I currently sit on several boards, and enjoy travel, golf, and design in my spare time.
Kristin Vallaly and her husband, Michael, along with their three children, have lived in Lake Forest since 2014. Her husband is a Lake Forest native and attended Lake Forest schools as well. Kristin is originally from Central Indiana and received her B.A. in Health Education from Purdue University. Kristin is the current President of the Lake Forest- Lake Bluff Learning Differences Association, has been very active with her Girl Scout Troop and Cub Scout Troop 48. She is also very active with the APT of Cherokee School. Kristin looks forward to joining the Caucus to become further involved in the community of Lake Forest.
