Elect your Caucus ward representatives!

What is the Caucus Connection?

The Caucus Connection is our annual publication sent to all Lake Forest voters which includes photos and bios of candidates to represent you as ward representative.

What should I do?

It’s easy! Please:

  1. Review the bios
  2. Vote on the enclosed postcard. One vote for each registered voter in your household.
  3. Drop it in the mail by April 1.

We'll tally the votes and the new Caucus members will be seated in late April for a three year term!

Ward 2 Residents, we made a mistake with one of your candidates! Your candidates should include Peggy Siebert, not Peggy Jadwin. We'll be issuing a new ballot this week and you'll have extra time to return it.

What if I want to volunteer?

If you are interested in joining the Caucus Committee or being interviewed for open positions on the committees and commissions, the first step is to complete a Volunteer Profile Sheet (VPS). Your Ward Chair from the Caucus Committee will contact you to discuss your interests.

What if I didn’t receive a copy?

Please email info@lakeforestcaucus.com and we’ll get right back to you!

What is the Caucus Committee?

Mayor Pandaleon described the Caucus Committee and its processes very well in this 5 minute video.

The Lake Forest Caucus is made up of all registered city voters who annually elect members to serve on the Caucus Committee as their representatives. The 43 members of the Caucus Committee are chosen equally from the city's four wards. The committee operates independently and without influence of outside special interest groups to identify, interview, vet and nominate candidates for election or appointment by City Council. The Caucus Committee seeks citizens willing to serve the long-term best interests of Lake Forest without personal agendas.
