Interested in Joining the Lake Forest City Council?

The Lake Forest Caucus Committee, a volunteer organization, is looking for potential Ward 3 Aldermanic nominees to serve on City Council.  The candidate nominees would interview with the Ward 3 Committee and the final nominee candidate (chosen by the end of October) would run in the City’s Municipal Election on March 20th.   If elected the new Alderman’s term would start May 1, 2018 for 2-years.  Two additional 2-year terms are an option for a total of six years.  A total of two Aldermen from each of the City’s four Wards are members of the City Council that meet on first and third Mondays, 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.  The Mayor is the ninth member of City Council and serves as the City’s CEO.  For more information on the roles and responsibilities of the Aldermen, click HERE.  Candidates interested in volunteering for local government should complete a Caucus Volunteer Profile Sheet (VPS) via an online form HERE.   Prior experience serving on CLF Boards and/or Commissions are a requisite.
