Meet our Proposed Candidate for Mayor

Over the past several months, your neighbors on the Caucus Committee have recruited, interviewed, and vetted candidates for Mayor of Lake Forest. We are proud to share that Dr. Ara Goshgarian will be presented for endorsement at the Annual Meeting on October 6th.

Dr. Goshgarian has spent nearly his whole life in Lake Forest. He grew up here, graduated from Lake Forest High School, and came home to practice orthodontics alongside his father. He later served our community as a Ward 3 member of the Caucus and then on City Council from 2019 to 2025, where he chaired the Public Works and the Property and Public Land Committees and served on the Finance Committee. Ara knows how this city works because he has helped run it and he brings a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities Lake Forest faces in the years ahead.
