The Caucus Committee sincerely thanks all Lake Forest residents who voted today! We had a total of 245 votes cast at the Spring Meeting. The final results are 89% in favor with: 219 Yes to 26 No The newly elected Officer Team looks forward to continuing the Caucus mission in 2026-27: recruiting, vetting, and recommending outstanding volunteers for our city government. These dedicated individuals, along with the entire Caucus Committee, remain committed to serving Lake Forest

Each Lake Forest household with registered voters should have received a Caucus Connection ballot. Every year 1/3 of the Caucus Committee members term off and are replaced with newly elected members. The Caucus Connection ballot sets forth the candidates for Caucus Committee representatives for each Ward. THANK YOU to all who took the time to vote!  Although not the required two-thirds majority required to approve a bylaws amendment, 62.8% of the community, an overwhelming majority, voted in favor of electronic voting. Many residents may not really understand the role of the Caucus.  Briefly, the Caucus was founded in 1935 as a non-partisan committee of volunteers.  Since then, Lake Foresters have benefitted from civic leaders not tethered by political partisanship in a system

Thank you to everyone who came out to vote! Below are the results of the vote for the In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment.  Out of 1,227 total ballots cast, the results are as follows: In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment  - 771 Yes – 456 No While a substantial majority (62.8%) of voters who voted "in person" voted in favor of the In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment, this Amendment requires a 2/3rds majority of the votes cast to pass.

The Vote is Today! Voting is now open at the Gorton Center for the In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment  and will run through 5 pm.  Even if you signed our Petition , we still need you to vote today!  We need every Lake Forest registered voter to come to the Gorton Center today and vote “ YES ” for this Amendment.  A 2/3rds “YES” vote is required to pass the Amendment!  All the City Leaders on the Endorsement Letter would not be voting “YES” if there was a security or ve
