Spring Meeting Results
The Caucus Committee sincerely thanks all Lake Forest residents who voted today! We had a total of 245 votes cast at the Spring Meeting. The final results are 89% in favor with: 219 Yes to 26 No The newly elected Officer Team looks forward to continuing the Caucus mission in 2026-27: recruiting, vetting, and recommending outstanding volunteers for our city government. Each Lake Forest household with registered voters should have received a Caucus Connection ballot. Every year 1/3 of the Caucus Committee members term off and are replaced with newly elected members. Thank You to All Who Took the Time to Vote!
THANK YOU to all who took the time to vote! Although not the required two-thirds majority required to approve a bylaws amendment, 62.8% of the community, an overwhelming majority, voted in favor of electronic voting. Many residents may not really understand the role of the Caucus. Briefly, the Caucus was founded in 1935 as a non-partisan committee of volunteers. Results of the In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment Vote
Thank you to everyone who came out to vote! Below are the results of the vote for the In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment. Out of 1,227 total ballots cast, the results are as follows: In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment - 771 Yes – 456 No While a substantial majority (62.8%) of voters who voted "in person" voted in favor of the In-Person and Electronic Voting Amendment, this Amendment requires a 2/3rds majority of the votes cast to pass.
