Audit Comittee
Introduction
Lake Forest is one of the few municipalities that uses an independent Audit Committee during preparation of the annual audit for all of the City’s financial records. The Audit Committee also reviews matters concerning the City’s Ethics Ordinance and conducts independent reviews upon request by the Mayor and City Council.
The committee consists of 5 residents who are nominated by the Lake Forest Caucus, appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council.

Expertise in the area of financial accounting or auditing is required.
Time Commitment

Members serve 2 year terms for a maximum of three terms.

The committee meets the 3rd Thursday of January, April, July and October in the City Council room at City Hall

Estimated time commitment is 5-8 hours quarterly
