Dee has deep roots here in Lake Forest. She grew up here, raising her sons here, her father was a physician at LF and HP hospitals, and her in-laws were both teachers here in LF. Dee believes this is a special town and looks forward to giving her time and talent to the community.

She attended Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota (BS in biology and chemistry), later attended LF Graduate School of Management for her Masters in People and Project Management.

Dee is retired from AbbVie/Abbott and before that corporate experience she was a Medical Technologist at both Lake Forest and Highland Park Hospitals. At AbbVie/Abbott, she worked in Sales, Field Service, Training, Marketing, and Operations with leadership roles in most of those disciplines.

In retirement, Dee volunteers through her church at PADS, COOL, Habitat and on the Church Council. She spends her winters curling and summers golfing, as well as traveling as frequently as possible.
