Thank you to everyone who came out to vote! Below are the results of the Annual Meeting vote on proposed candidates for City Council and the Alternative Voting Methods Bylaws Amendment. Out of 671 total ballots cast, the results are as follows:

Alternative Voting Methods Bylaws Amendment  - 427 Yes – 244 No

City Council:

Ward 1 Alderman - Nancy Novit: 473 YES – 61 NO

Ward 2 Alderman - Rosemary Kehr: 454 YES – 55 NO

Ward 3 Alderman - Alice LeVert: 503 YES – 67 NO

Ward 4 Alderman - Llyod Culbertson: 485 YES – 65 NO

While a substantial majority (more than 64%) of voters who voted "in person" voted in favor of the Alternative Voting Methods Bylaws Amendment, this Amendment requires a 2/3rds majority of the votes cast to pass.  A 2/3rds majority would be 448 votes of the 671 votes cast, which was not met.

The Caucus Committee will now work on filing nominating petitions on October 27th in order for all of these candidates to appear on the ballot on the March 17, 2026 Consolidated Election.

Thank you!
