Lake Forest needs great School Board candidates - could that be you?

Our schools are one of the reasons many of us chose Lake Forest. This year, School Board seats for both District 67 and 115 need to be filled -- and we are looking for candidates ready to serve.
The School Board establishes the District's purpose, hires and evaluates the superintendent, delegates authority through written policy, and monitors whether the District is delivering on its commitments. This is vital work for our community, requiring financial judgment, strategic thinking, and the willingness to ask hard questions and follow up on the answers. The impact made by the School Board doesn't just impact the schools today, but can have a long term impact on the students and staff.
If you know someone who fits that description -- a neighbor, a colleague, someone you have watched lead well -- tell them. Some of the best public servants don't come forward on their own. They needed someone to say: "You are exactly right for this."
The process starts with completing a Volunteer Profile Sheet, a short form on our website that tells us who you are, why you want to serve and your experience. If you have filled one out before, now is a good time to update it. New applicants: it takes less than 15 minutes.
Submit or update your Volunteer Profile Sheet today at lakeforestcaucus.com.
