Please Complete and Return Your Caucus Connection Ballot!

Each Lake Forest household with registered voters should have received a Caucus Connection ballot. Every year 1/3 of the Caucus Committee members term off and are replaced with newly elected members. The Caucus Connection ballot sets forth the candidates for Caucus Committee representatives for each Ward. Please complete the ballot and return it by March 30, 2026.  This Caucus Connection ballot is separate from the vote to elect Caucus Committee Officers for the 2026-2027 year that occurs at the Spring Meeting on Monday March 16th from 2-8 PM at the Gorton Center. Learn more about the Spring Meeting here.

Lake Forest has 4 Wards, represented by residents of that Ward. As such, four different ballots have to be created, printed, and mailed each year to residents in each Ward. This process is extremely costly for the Caucus (approximately $5,400 this year). The Caucus is funded entirely by private donations. Every year, the work that the Lake Forest Caucus performs saves each taxpayer a significant amount of money.  If the Caucus did not provide the recruiting and vetting services for City board and commissions, these services would need to be undertaken by the City at taxpayer expense.  Please donate! No donation is too small!  We sincerely appreciate any donation that you can provide!

Volunteer Profile Sheet Updates

If you wish to volunteer, please visit our website and complete a volunteer profile sheet (VPS) today.    The VPS is the form used by the Caucus Committee to identify candidates who are interested in serving on the Caucus Committee, City elected positions, and City boards and commissions. Please update your VPS if you haven’t done so recently. Outdated VPS’s result in significant wasted time and energy for Caucus members who are conducting these searches. When updating your VPS, please do not create a new VPS, but simply edit your VPS already have on file.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Lake Forest Caucus throughout its 91-year history of serving the City of Lake Forest!

Sincerely,

Regina Etherton

Lake Forest Caucus President
