Establish Caucus School Board Search Subcommittee
Timeline: By end of June of the election year
Objective: Establish Caucus School Board Search Subcommittee.
Step 1
Caucus President and Vice President shall create an odd-numbered Caucus School Board Search Subcommittee open to any serving Caucus Committee member who can commit the time. The Caucus President and Vice President shall be a member of the School Board Search Subcommittee.
First Interview Round
Timeline: Fall of the election year
Objective: Advance candidates who best meet Caucus School Board Candidate qualifications.
Step 2
An interview with each candidate shall be conducted by the School Board Search Subcommittee to assess each candidate’s required skills and experience documented in Caucus School Board Candidate Qualifications.
Step 3
The School Board Search Subcommittee shall advance select candidates to the Second Interview Round.
Second Interview Round
Timeline: Fall of the election year
Objective: Advance candidates who best meet Caucus School Board Candidate Qualifications.
Step 4
An interview with each candidate shall be conducted by the School Board Search Subcommittee to assess each candidate’s required skills and experience documented in Caucus School Board Candidate Qualifications.
Step 5
The School Board Search Subcommittee shall advance select candidates to the Final Interview Round with the Caucus Committee.
Final Interview and Candidate Selection
Timeline: Fall of election year prior to Caucus Annual Meeting
Objective: Advance candidates from a set of highly qualified candidates based on exhaustive vetting of candidates’ qualifications that best meet Caucus School Board Candidate Qualifications.
Step 6
Final candidates shall be interviewed by the Caucus Committee.
Step 7
The Caucus Committee deliberates and votes (majority) on final candidates to be nominated by the Lake Forest Caucus to run as D67 or D115 school board members.
